Like many in the district, Tyler has worked in both the energy and agriculture fields. For over seven years he has worked in the Power Industry and is currently Lead Journeyman Electrician for Basin Electric Power Cooperative. Tyler also works for his family's cattle ranch as Vice President. Working in these fields have shown him that regulation and an overbearing government can stunt the growth of business, hurting people in the process.
